Arcade Fire tickets for the band's April 20 date at Starlight with the National go on sale on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. The press release says "general admission" tickets are $37.50. When was the last time anyone can remember Starlight being a general-admission venue? Aren't those plastic seats, like ... permanent?
Tickets will be on sale at KCStarlight.com and Livenation.com. Be quick, kids; this one is bound to sell out faster than Jimmy Buffett. (Who sold out the Sprint Center in one hour, by the way. Gross.)
Here's the band playing "Wake Up" at Starlight in 2007.

I think you're right, Eric. Starlight was considerably less than 1/2 full last time they were here, and I'm not entirely sure they'll sell out this time either. If they do, I would be willing to bet that scalper speculation will play a big part in it.
I think it depends on the crowd size too. I went to Vampire Weekend and they put Screens behind the bottom section to make everyone sit in front of them but it was all GA down there.
Weird. When I went to Lil Wayne there was definitely seating. Maybe they expected hip-hop kids to be a "rowdier" crowd than tame indie-rock kids.
They were GA for the last Arcade Fire show as well. It wasn't crowded at all, but who knows how the Grammy recognition will affect things this time around.
