In case you missed their show Tuesday night at RecordBar, Eleven Productions has announced that Chicago glam-rock band Smith Westerns will be returning to our little oasis in the Midwest when they hit Lawrence in early June, on tour with experimental psych-rock mainstays Yeasayer. Though the Smith Westerns put on an impressive rock show for such a young band, it seem that indie-vet Yeasayer might just be able to teach them a thing or two.

Yeasayer, which released the critically acclaimed album Odd Blood last year, was named the most-blogged-about band of 2010 by Hype Machine. The group, composed of Chris Keating, Ira Wolf Tuton and Anand Wilder, is known for entertaining, visually interesting live shows. It previously toured with MGMT and Beck.

Yeasayer and the Smith Westerns will be joined by Hush Hush at The Granada in Lawrence on Thursday, June 2. The show starts at 7 p.m., and tickets, which are $15, go on sale this weekend. Check the Eleven Productions website for more information.
