Wondering what the inside of the Kauffman Center looks like?

Now you know. The Kansas City Star got the go-ahead to shoot the inside of the Performing Arts Center, which -- as you can see from our skyline -- is still a work-in-progress. (According to The Star, the work is 80 percent complete.)

The Performing Arts Center is set to open on Friday, September 16, and internationally renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman will perform in honor of the opening on Saturday, September 17.

You can also check out the Kauffman Center's "Construction Webcam," which -- judging by the layer of snow and ice coating the center today -- actually tracks the live construction of the building. Sweet.
