Vince Gill has one of the sweetest tenors in all of popular music, captured hauntingly on his 1992 country hit, "I Still Believe in You." The song is a cry of regret turned into a caress, and that delicacy is one strong tie that binds him to ballad partners and spiritual siblings Ricky Skaggs and Patty Loveless.

Another tie is his versatility. This multi-instrumentalist's superb craftsmanship earns him the right to call out pop radio -- It really don't rock, it really don't roll -- on his 2003 hit, "The Next Big Thing."

A recent inductee to the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, Gill has maintained a standout 30-year career (including more than 40 hits and 19 Grammys) after the 1980s hit "Let Me Love You Tonight" with Pure Prairie League. His long-standing career makes his live show a promise of integrity, excellence and grace.

Vince Gill. Thursday, March 24, at Yardley Hall.
