Earlier this year, we reminded you about Lawrence's StimPac mini-fest, a one-night-only-style carousel of local music that squeezes three stages at The Granada in Lawrence.
In January, the fifth incarnation of the event took place, and it was so successful, they've decided to bring you number six! And in these cash-strapped times, you really can't beat nine bands for three bucks. Now that's a stimulus package we can get behind.
StimPac 6 takes over The Granada this Saturday, March 26, and features a sweltering local lineup of bands that you may not know (yet). Kansas City bands Claque and Conceal and Carry will join Lawrence acts the Concentrics, EvZ, Baby Boomers, Dano vs. Mecha-Dano, L5, and Harney Silt Loam. Also on the lineup is Manhattan band Babes USA, an extra treat because Manhattan groups don't find their way up to Lawrence too often.
Doors for the show open at 9 p.m., and the first group takes the stage promptly at 9:30 p.m. So empty out your change jars and dig into all those old coat pockets, and get on over to The Granada this weekend for some cheap local fun. For more information, check out the event's Facebook page here.
