Rock radio station 103.7 the Dam is celebrating its damn birthday tonight at the Beaumont Club, and it has enlisted the heavy metal supergroup the Damned Things to help celebrate, an obvious choice given the name. The Damned Things, which features members from Anthrax, Every Time I Die and Fall Out Boy, will be joined by Hourcast, Hammerlord and the Runaway Sons.
The Damned Things, which takes its name from Ram Jam's 1977 cult hit "Black Betty," consists of Scott Ian and Rob Caggiano of Anthrax, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley of Fall Out Boy, and Keith Buckley and Josh Newton of Every Time I Die. They released their debut album, Ironiclast, just this past December on Island Records. The first single from the album, "We've Got a Situation Here," reached 25 on the U.S. charts.
Check out the birthday metal bash at the Beaumont Club tonight, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12, and the show is all-ages. For more information, visit the Facebook event page here.
