Incoming: The Civil Wars at the Bottleneck, April 22

The Civil Wars is fueled by Joy Williams and John Paul White's songwriting. Williams' voice, which is similar to Alison Krauss' in style and tone, ebbs and flows with White's. The duo's heart-wrenching ballads and booming anthems are beautiful and painful.

Civil Wars will bring their soulful Americana to the Bottleneck on April 22. Doors open at 8 p.m., the show is all-ages, and tickets cost $11-$13. Bluesy indie rockers White Dress will support.

The band's tour is to promote its newly released album, Barton Hollow.
