Kickstarter pages: They're all the rage. The Kansas City-bred singer and songwriter Margo May is hoping to raise some cash to release her second album, space/face, using the online fundraising site. Here's an update on what's going on in May's world:

I am now living in Portland, Oregon.  I have been working on my second album, performing some, and writing a whole lot. It has been really amazing to have a chance to be alone in the world in a new city where I only knew one person when I came here! My music has matured a lot and I can tell I am writing more from the standpoint of a woman, an adult.

I am sending this email to let you all know I started a Kickstarter. (The modern day version of a lemonade stand for musicians

and artists.)

So far I have raised almost $200.00! My goal is to reach $800.00 by the end of May. The costs of the album include (mostly) mastering, recording costs, and printing for when the album is finally finished and I can send it to you all physically! If you feel like donating you can by just clicking on the link.

You can check out May's SoundCloud page here, where all of the demos for her second album, space/face, are. Click here to pledge money to May's Kickstarter page.
