UPDATE, May 9 at 12:25 p.m.: Apparently, the reunion is in honor of Sonic Spectrum's anniversary, according to Robert Moore's Twitter page. Click here to check it out.
The Golden Republic -- a former Kansas City group made up of members of the Republic Tigers and Soft Reeds, respectively -- has been hinting at a reunion of the band on its Facebook page for several weeks now. (Here's our original post about the rumor here.)
Meanwhile, while trolling RecordBar's listings, we spotted a date: June 25, with Thee Water MoccaSins and Secret Cities.
Originally formed in 1999 under the name "the People" by cousins Ben Grimes and Ryan Shank, the group was joined by Kenn Jankowski and bassist Harry Anderson, and eventually signed to Astralwerks Records. The band released one album and completed successful national tours before eventually splitting in 2006.
Check out the music video below for its hit "You Almost Had It," and follow the band on the Facebook page here.
