Oh, hello -- I didn't see you there. I must have been too busy tuning my 24-string guitar. In a second here, I plan to shred the everliving shit out of this Steve Vai solo I just learned, but since you're already here, I may as well introduce myself.

My name is David Hudnall, and I am the honorable Elke Mermis' replacement as music editor here at The Pitch. I've been contributing to The Pitch on and off for about five years, and last year, I served as the primary music blogger on Wayward. So I know some of you. Others I don't know and would like to get to know. Others I fear. And there are a few persons out there for whom I have little but contempt. I cannot deny it. But let us not dwell on the negative.

What I'm hoping to achieve here on the blog and in the print music section is simple: Give the right people the recognition they deserve, discover new talent, document the fun shows and parties, and generally liven things up around town. I'm excited. I am pretty sure this is going to work out well. Don't you think?

Hit me up: david (dot) hudnall (at) pitch.com

Looking forward to seeing y'all out there.
