Incoming: Explosions in the Sky to the Uptown

Hazy-edged instrumental rock master Explosions in the Sky is set to soar into Kansas City on October 12 for a show at the Uptown Theater on October 12. Wye Oak will support. Have a listen to the band's romping, adrenaline-fueled track "Trembling Hands" over at Pitchfork.


It's from Take Care, Take Care, Take Care, its latest (available now). The band hit up Columbia last month; check our review here.

Fan club presale for the show starts tomorrow, Wednesday, May 25; general admission goes on sale Friday morning.
