Cowboy Indian Bear.
  • Cowboy Indian Bear.

This whole Joplin thing gets more terrifying and depressing by the minute. A silver lining is that these types of events tend to bring out the good in people, and along those lines, our local-music scene is responding with a benefit for Joplin, set for next Wednesday at Crosstown.

MidCoast Cares, a benefit for victims of the tornado, is next Wednesday, June 1, from 7 to 10 p.m., and includes performances from the following:

Grisly Hand
Cowboy Indian Bear
Beautiful Bodies
Vi Tran Band
Atlantic Fadeout
Steddy P
Maps for Travelers
David George Band
Rural Grit All-Stars
Town Mountain
Atlantic Fadeout

Tickets cost 10, and there's a Boulevard VIP package for $20, which gets you two Boulevard beers. They're also raffling off a bunch of stuff, too. Check the Facebook page for more info.

Excited to announce that you can add Ha Ha Tonka and DJ Sheppa to that list.  Thanks David.  Welcome to the drivers seat at the Pitch.  Cheers, Billy Smith
