  • The Architects will play.

As we gear up for the Beach Boys tribute coming up in a few weeks here, Sonic Spectrum's Robert Moore today announced the themes of the two remaining tribute shows this summer.

6/26/11
The Beach Boys
featuring Minden, Ghosty, Sons of Great Dane, Brodie Rush (Be/Non) & Dan Talmadge (Soft Reeds)

7/31/11
AC/DC featuring the Architects, Federation of Horsepower, Faster Than Hell, Mark Smeltzer & the Country Shags

8/28/11
Tom Waits featuring TBA

Interested parties will do well to begin practicing their Waits growl posthaste.

The fact that the Architects are taking part in this is mindblowing in itself. KC is lucky to have em around  These guys are so good that they should be living  poolside in Los Angeles being waited on by members of Janes Addiction and The Red Hot Chili Peppers!!   I mean fuck these guys were even great when they were teenagers called The Gadjits!!   I will be the guy in the front row of this show wearing assless chaps---stop by and say hello.

Sounds great, La, but that's a little esoteric for the downIoad generation.

This will make the second AC/DC tribute I've seen the Phillips brothers play. The last one was ...  a goddamn DECADE ago? Fuck, I'm getting old.
