Big week for Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver). His latest, Bon Iver, Bon Iver, was yesterday awarded what I'm pretty sure is the highest Pitchfork rating of the year. Deservedly so -- it's a gorgeous record. And it looks like he's headed to the Uptown on Friday, September 9, with Kathleen Edwards. That's a don't-miss show. Tickets are on sale this Friday, June 24.

>is just as bad as pitchfork by automatically resigning to the opinion that it's boring without listening to it just because pitchfork liked it

I used to be ashamed of my old age (50).   Yet , i saw all the SST acts when they toured through here in the early 80s,  Husker Du, Black Flag, etc.   I dont get what you kiddies today call "good music".   Bon Iver, Florence and The Machine--etc,   Im not ashamed of my old age anymore!!
