Motley Crue is at the Sprint Center tonight, with Poison and the New York Dolls, and apparently -- SPOILER ALERT -- Tommy Lee has rigged up some sort of rotating drum roller coaster that spins around in the air? If you think I am going to say something snarky about this, you are DEAD WRONG.
If the general spectacle of insanity, dysfunction and monster-rock hooks is not enough titillation for you, there are a few other Crue-related events happening in conjunction with the show that you may be interested in.
After the show, Tommy Lee will be DJing in the Power & Light District at
Mosaic (1331 Walnut). That should start around 11 p.m.; expect "stutter edits, distortion units and drum machines over stanky electro-house beats remixed live on the fly,"
says calendar editor Berry Anderson.
Also, if you see a big-ass bus that says "Sixx Sense" on it, and you have your buddy take a picture of you standing in front of it, and then you send it to nikki@likezebra.com, you'll be entered to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles, $500, and the chance to sit in on a recording session with Nikki Sixx. Slightly more information
here.
