White Flight's Kickstarter project is a trip and a half

You might know White Flight better as Justin Roelofs, former frontman of beloved Lawrence indie-pop outfit the Anniversary. You might also know him as that one guy who used to write amazingly catchy songs, then moved to South America and possibly ingested a large number of hallucinogenic substances. Possibly.

Whatever the case, the music that Roelofs has made since the Anniversary broke up has been far more wide-ranging than their brand of sweetly sung tunes. However, what's been far more noteworthy than the music itself has been the art and dialectic that has sprung forth in conjunction with whatever White Flight has been doing.

Case in point: the Kickstarter for Pyramid of Light. It's going to be both a new album by that title and an accompanying documentary. I think. The page goes on to further state the true purpose of the project:

"A major focus of the new images and sounds will be oriented in the pure celebration of this new era of enlightenment for all beings. Yet the true essence of the project is the living experience of this state of consciousness in THIS VERY MOMENT, as we begin to reawaken to the technologies of our own Hearts, which are far superior than any outside machine will ever be."

He's trying to raise $12,555, and $15 or more gets you a digital download of the album when it comes out.
