Dan Deacon is coming to Kansas City this fall, though not to perform the electronic party music he's best known for. Instead, he'll be hitting up the Paragraph Gallery on November 9 with the Wham City comedy collective. Founded in 2004, this self-described "bat-shit variety show" brings performance art, stand-up and assorted other craziness to the stage.

Really, all of this is just another excuse to post "Drinking Out of Cups." You might not be familiar with Deacon or Wham City, but you've most likely seen this piece of bizarre brilliance on your Facebook feed or in your e-mail. It was recorded by Deacon for a class project in 2003 and made it onto his recently re-pressed debut album, Meetle Mice. It has received more than 15 million views and is one of the most random pieces of awesomeness ever to hit the Web.

I'd imagine the crowd is going to be very ironic.
