Phoenix Fest, celebrating the Phoenix Jazz Club's 21st Anniversary, is this Saturday

Another local festival to add to your calendar: This Saturday, October 1, the Phoenix Jazz Club will celebrate its 21st birthday by hosting Phoenix Fest. Barbecue, beer and live music on the street outside the venue all day. Tickets are $8 advance and $10 at the door.

Here's the schedule so far:

Outside:
1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. - Lonnie McFadden
3 p.m.-4 p.m. - Wild Women of Kansas City
4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. - Tim Whitmer and the Kansas City Express with Lori Tucker and Millie Edwards
6 p.m.-7 p.m. - Rick Bacus Blues Jam
7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. - the Brody Buster Band
9 p.m.-10 p.m. - Dan Doran Band

Inside:
9 p.m.-1 a.m. Cold Sweat

Tim Whitmer and Jon Anderson will emcee. Lawn chairs are welcome. VIP tables have already sold out, so you may want to get a ticket. Like, today.
