We've got a new jazz club downtown. It's called 1911 Main Restaurant & Lounge, and it's located in the old Bar Natasha space at, you know, 1911 Main. The joint has actually been semi-open since July. But this weekend is the official grand opening, and some local jazz talent will be on hand to celebrate.

The festivities run from 6 p.m.-midnight both evenings.

Friday, September 30: David Basse and the Everette DeVan Trio will perform.
Saturday, October 1: Bob Bowman & Bowdog, plus the midnight premiere of a four-month run by the live radio broadcast of KCUR's 12th Street Jump.

Further out, Clint Ashlock and the New Jazz Order will be performing every Tuesday beginning on October 4. Free live music is offered Wednesday-Saturday starting at 9:00pm. Wednesdays feature an Eddie Charles Jam at 6:00 p.m. and Urban Literation’s ULIT 101: The Revolution of the Spoken Word for at 9:00 p.m. ($5).

They're also serving food. More on that here.
