The Floozies are Matt and Mark Hill, a Lawrence duo that makes “funk for aliens.” Well, hell. We can get behind that. Step into the ethereal regions of the band’s hypnotic beats and grooves when the Floozies play the Riot Room on Friday, October 7. 9 p.m. $5. 21-plus. Evil Bastards support.

Favorite place to eat in KC: Other than Chipotle? Eden Alley Café.

Favorite neighborhood: Olathe

Favorite bar in KC: The Foundry. The Jazzhaus in Lawrence.

Favorite drink: Gin and tonic, vodka and club, or just vodka, really.

Favorite article of clothing: V-neck t shirt, Mark's Kazaam shirt (That's right. The movie where Shaq played a genie. Mark has that shirt.)
