Have we got an event for you! The attractive, cougar-ish women of Haute Flash Burlesque will be flaunting their assets in a few weeks to spotlight how incredibly awesome older adoptable pets are.
Goldie of Haute Flash Burlesque says this about the show:
“We are paralleling the fact that senior pets in shelters are so often dismissed/overlooked in favor of puppies and kittens, yet more often than not, these seasoned pets better fit the lifestyles of prospective adopters. People have been falsely programmed to believe that they want a puppy or a kitten as a first option. I am seriously pro senior pet, having two of three kitties who are seniors. In fact, rascally No. 3 kept me up ALL night while he was turning my loft into a jungle gym. Apparently, we hadn't played with the laser light long enough to burn off his energy before bedtime.”
Come to the Living Room on November 5 (doors open at 7 p.m., show at 7:30 p.m.) to see burlesque artists, torch singers, a belly dancer, a puppeteer, and to potentially receive raffle prizes.
