It's no secret that the music of Chris Isaak — who's still best known for his popular, swoon-worthy 1991 song "Wicked Game" — is influenced by old-school bad boys like Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. Now Isaak is paying homage to the studio that made those classic rockers famous, Sun Studio. Isaak recently spoke with NPR Music about his new album, Beyond the Sun (out now), which was recorded at Sun Studio. The album includes songs originally made and performed by the greats mentioned before, and many more. Take a listen to the interview at NPR here.

Isaak performs at the Uptown on Friday, November 18. Doors open at 7 p.m. It's all-ages and costs $33-$133.
