It’s that time of year again. Her Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Kansas City is calling for entries for the 2012 HRC Battle of the Bands.
The battle is slated for January 15 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Cashew. “We are going to have six acoustic acts, six electric acts, and a panel of celebrity/industry judges for each set. Each set will be on different floors of the Cashew,” says Christene Main, event chairwoman.
Prizes include cash, studio time, publicity and more. The fee is $40 fee for electric acts or $25 for acoustic acts, all paid to the battle champions. This event used to be a women-only battle-of-the-babes shindig, but no more! Male artists are encouraged to enter this year, too.
