It's cold. Like, really cold. And how does one beat the cold? Chili, spiked apple cider and jazz, of course.
Tonight at Clyde Manor apartments (350 East Armour Blvd.), people can enjoy all of the above. In hopes to bring in new residents and entertain current inhabitants, the Manor will host an evening of jazz, courtesy of Hermon Mehari and friends. In addition, attendees can enjoy building tours, a raffle and seasonal treats.
"We are hosting it in the lobby of one of our apartment buildings (Clyde Manor). We have renovated several buildings in midtown along Armour Blvd., and I've been given the task of putting on cool events for residents and the public so that people can check them out, tell their friends, and ultimately call one of our properties home," says Kemet Coleman (Kansas City's thePhantom*).
"With that being said, it was my idea to bring in Hermon, as our buildings that were built in the 1910s and 1920s are a wonderful aesthetic for jazz music."
The event from 7 to 9 p.m. is free and all-ages. Look for the next event on December 22.
