Lawrence garage-rock trio
the Puritans have been together for over a year now. However, while they've played Kansas City quite a few times — opening for the likes of the Cute Lepers and others — the band has yet to play an official show in their hometown. That changes tonight, when they play the Replay with Math and Space. To get you in the mood for tonight's show, we've got a track from the Puritans' demo, and it's called "Right Now."
The cut is a bit different from the band's live show, as it features a pretty strong organ, and the band has yet to add that element to the live show. Says the band's Max Zintsov, "The majority of the songs were written having an organ in mind. It's essential because of our fascination with baroque and psychedelic music. We have plans to add an organ player and have been looking for one for a while."
Listen to the Puritans' "Right Now."
