The new Making Movies album will be produced by Steve Berlin of Los Lobos

Seen in the above video recapping their 2011 shows, Making Movies recently announced they'll record the follow-up to their debut LP, In Deo Speramus. Their sophomore release will be produced by Steve Berlin, saxophonist for Los Lobos, whom the band met when opening for them at Knuckleheads last September.

The first fundraising show for the album is Thursday, February 16, at Czar, when Making Movies performs an unplugged, acoustic show for 50 fans that the band is calling "Making Movies Social Club." A portion of the proceeds from the show (as well as all fundraising efforts) will go to the Mattie Rhodes Center, with which the band will sponsor a summer youth music program.
