It’s shaping up to be a pretty great 2012 concert season for Kansas City and Lawrence.
Earlier this week, we noted the impressive Middle of the Map lineup. And now, these!
The Lumineers are headed to KC this April. Check for the Denver band at the Riot Room Sunday April 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $8-$10 and are on sale Tuesday, February 7, at 10 a.m. for this 21-and-older show. Never heard of ‘em? Watch the band perform “Ho, Hey” live (via Paste — yes, the website got the venue wrong). Very jangle-y and homespun (in a good way).
And in other news that concern jangle bands: Real Estate is coming to Lawrence Saturday, April 28, at the Bottleneck. Support from the Twerps.
Also! The Heartless Bastards are at the Granada May 29.
And, way out, James Taylor will be at Starlight on Saturday, July 21. Tickets go on sale next Friday, February 10.
