So construction in flat Kansas is the only reason? Riiiiiiight. Because the Speedway is the only venue in the area. Let's see, over the top production costs in year 1 and no where near the ticket sales needed for year 2. I'd say that is the reason behind the no show in 2012. Let's call it what it is.
Good news is there will be plenty of other things to do this year.
I'm surprised they are confirming it for 2013 so early. I heard they lost quite a bit of money. Although they did a great job organizing and running it. There was a little confusion among security of what kind of camel backs were allowed in, but other than that I didn't see any problems.
