Kanrocksas has announced its first three acts

After debuting in 2011 and taking 2012 off, Kanrocksas is returning to the Kansas Speedway this summer, June 28-29. More info here. Today the festival announced its first three confirmed acts: Kendrick Lamar, whose rap album Good Kid, Maad City, was one of the most critically praised records of 2012; harmonizing folk heartthrobs the Avett Brothers; and, for all the young EDM kids, DJ Tiesto. I'd say they're doing a pretty good job so far of covering the demographic bases. Stay tuned: The festival people say they'll be rolling out the other confirmed acts in the coming weeks.
