This is cool: The band that wins this year's Farmer's Ball - the annual Lawrence-KC battle of the bands hosted by the University of Kansas - gets $2,000. That's a pretty sweet check! Second place gets $1,000. Not shabby! Bands, you have until March 1 to submit your songs, which you can do
here. The preliminary ball will be held on Saturday, April 20, and the finals are Saturday, April 27. Go
here for specifics.
Related: KU's esteemed student-run radio station, KJHK, was just featured on mtvU's College Radio Countdown. The staff produced a funny little tour-of-the-station video skit for it, which you can peep after the jump.
